| Phil Davis is an artist working in video, animation, sound, and other new media forms and combinations. I was born in 1981 and raised in Marlborough, New Hampshire where I learned to throw rocks and collect insects. I have a background in 16mm film production with a focus in documentary and hand drawn animation. My current work consists of performances for and with video cameras. I deal with highly physical acts, which are simultaneously violent and humorous, and often end with the destruction of the video technology used to record my actions. My work has been shown in numerous video screenings and film festivals around the United States. I enjoy rock and roll, cats, hockey, and eating. | ||||||
